“The Garage Piano” | Extensive Steinway Piano Rebuilding Project
This is one of the most extensive rebuilding projects we have ever undertaken here at Chupp’s Piano Service. Stored in a garage for years, this piano required a lot of work to return it to its rightful status. Every area of this piano received extra care and expertise to return this piano to its former glory. Click to view photos and a short documentary piece.
Young Chang Pinblock Repair | A Fixable Issue
Recently we began and completed work on several Young Chang manufactured grand pianos with pinblock issues. The fit between the pinblock and the cast iron plate is obviously an important one. About 40,000 pounds of pressure are put on the pinblock by the piano strings. Unfortunately, we have found that a number of pianos feature a fit that is almost nonexistent. Here is how we fix this issue.
This is just a small sample of the work we do on a regular basis here at Chupp’s Piano Service. Our repairs and rebuilding projects are undertaken with care and expertise that ensures a beautiful and lasting end result. To view our in-stock pianos click here. Have a question?
