North Carolina Family on their Chupp’s Piano Service Kawai
The team here at Chupp’s Pianos was recently fortunate enough to be able to provide a beautiful Kawai Grand Piano to a lovely family in North Carolina. Our network of expert piano delivery specialists allows us to deliver across the entire country – and even overseas! They were kind enough to send in a testimonial about the piano and their experience working with Chupp’s Piano Service. It is always a joy to be able to help pair up a ‘perfect piano’ to a new home!
If you haven’t watched Chupp’s video, “The Garage Piano,” I encourage you to do so. This video showed me Mr. Chupp’s integrity and the heart of this family business, and I immediately knew that I wanted them to rebuild my circa 1891 grand piano. I contacted them right away via their website. Tim Chupp called me back, and we discussed the rebuilding process and the costs involved.
Tim was very honest, and I realized that the financial investment was more than my husband and I was willing to make at this time. Tim offered a new Kawai that was more in our price range, and my interest was piqued because Kawai is my second favorite after Steinway & Sons.
However, we live in North Carolina so I was hesitant to purchase a piano located in Indiana that I had never seen in-person or played. But Chupp’s Piano had a video of our piano being played by the talented, Philip Balke, and the tone of the piano was warm and pleasing to my ears. Tim Chupp also sent me pictures of the inside the piano, and it was gorgeous and looked well-made. I trusted Kawai’s quality, and I also trusted Tim so my husband and I made the big decision to purchase sight unseen.
However, I cannot lie…I did have a moment of angst when a professional musician found out I was planning to purchase from Chupps without ever having touched the piano. He told me that I was “making a very big mistake,” and that I would have “zero support” if any issues were to arise with the piano after it was delivered. I am so thankful to say that Chupp’s Piano has proven that professional wrong in every way.
Chupp’s Piano used a wonderful piano moving company that delivered our piano so carefully. Upon delivery, our piano looked exactly like the pictures and sounded even better than I had hoped. And Tim has been so good to quickly reply to any questions I have had. Before I write a book, let me just sum up by saying, we are so happy we made the decision to purchase our piano from Chupps, and we wholeheartedly recommend them. They have earned our respect and our deep appreciation for the blessing of this beautiful piano. It is a joy to play and a delight to hear. Thank you so much!! 😊
